For more than 200 years, Presbyterian Women have played a vital role in the mission and ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA). That continues today at the Church, Presbytery, Synod, and Church-wide levels.

All Trinity women, as well as women in all PCUSA Churches, are members of Presbyterian Women. Our Purpose (…to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church world-wide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive caring community of women…) is even greater than the circles and gatherings which are such an important part of our worship and fellowship. This year Trinity PW will give over $5,700.00 to organizations like Safelight, The Black Mountain Home for Children and Families, Thrive, the Hendersonville Rescue Mission, and other local and global missions benefitting women and children.

In 2018 we have added a new project: raising awareness and working to end human trafficking. The trafficking of human beings, often called modern-day slavery, deprives women, children and men in the US and around the world of their human rights. The majority of those in slavery are women and girls and at least one in five victims is subjected to sexual exploitation. On Sunday, January 28, we held a special Human Trafficking Awareness Worship Service presented by Trinity PW with a sermon by Carol Steele. Partnering with Global and Local Missions, we will present follow up workshops (starting during the Learning Hour on February 18) as we explore what we as a congregation can do to help end human trafficking and support its victims in our area.

If you would like to experience Bible study, worship, and fellowship with loving and supportive sisters, we invite you visit one (or more) of our monthly Circle meetings. You can call the circle moderator for more information ~ or just show up; either way, know you will be welcomed!
