Two or three times a year, a group from Trinity dons hip boots, wades into Brittain Creek at the Blythe Street bridge and walks/wades toward town for about 1/3 mile. Our purpose is two-fold: to pick up trash and to monitor different aspects of the stream for reporting back to Mountain True, our area conservation and environmental non-profit. Recently Bob Stanfield, Charles Keefer, Saroy Palmer (frequent visitor to Trinity), and Tom Karvonen spent about an hour on this project, clearing the creek bed of about ten pounds of trash. Anyone interested in communing with nature while helping to care for God’s creation should contact Tom Karvonen at This email address is being protected from spambots.
